Singapore November 22, 2006 -  Update on flaring at ExxonMobil's Singapore Chemical Plant - Flaring at ExxonMobil's Singapore Chemical Plant is continuing, and will end once we have safely and successfully restarted the affected units. We wish to assure that there is no risk to the public.

Singapore, November 21, 2006 - Flaring at ExxonMobil's Singapore Chemical Plant - At 11am this morning, a compressor at ExxonMobil's Singapore Chemical Plant tripped. For safety reasons, we had to burn off excess hydrocarbons through the flare stacks. We wish to assure the public that flaring is a vital part of keeping our chemical plant running safely during unplanned operational interruptions or scheduled maintenance activities.
