Singapore, November 21, 2006 - Flaring at ExxonMobil's Singapore Chemical Plant - At 11am this morning, a compressor at ExxonMobil's Singapore Chemical Plant tripped. For safety reasons, we had to burn off excess hydrocarbons through the flare stacks. We wish to assure the public that flaring is a vital part of keeping our chemical plant running safely during unplanned operational interruptions or scheduled maintenance activities.
